In a follow up to her award ceremony in Athens , Greece as the winner 
of the 2010 Artemis Award, Almas Jiwani , the President of UNIFEM Canada, also received highly appreciative letters of felicitation from Canadian dignitaries and politiicans including the Mayor of Toronto, Minister for the Status of Women and the Minister of International Cooperation along with a personal congratulatory note from the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, Honorable Stephen L.
